Black Agnes jewellery is created as artisan studio work rather than mass-produced stock. Making pieces to order allows sizing, fittings, and design details to be tailored to the wearer while maintaining the handcrafted character of each collection.

For made-to-order pieces, we will contact you after your order is received to confirm sizing, fittings, and any available options before production begins. You will be able to choose either a lobster claw clasp or a magnetic clasp. Other types of clasps can be discussed and used if in stock. This helps ensure your jewellery is created as accurately as possible for you. Once these details have been agreed, your jewellery will be handcrafted and prepared for dispatch.

For most standardised items, we hope to have the item shipped within 48 hours of confirmation of requirements. More intricate items or larger commissions may take longer, especially if specific beads have been requested. If there is likely to be a significant delay, we will let you know before work begins.

Different jewellery types require different measurements.

Bracelets

Measure around your wrist where you would normally wear a bracelet. Use a flexible tape measure, or wrap a piece of string around your wrist and measure it with a ruler. Please provide your wrist measurement in centimetres. I will add the appropriate allowance for comfort based on the design.

Necklaces

Measure an existing necklace that sits at your preferred length, or use a tape measure and note where you would like the necklace to fall.

• 40 cm (16") – Close to the neck
• 45 cm (18") – Standard necklace length
• 50 cm (20") – Just below the collarbone
• 60 cm (24") – Mid-chest

Rings

Black Agnes rings are currently available in common UK ring sizes N–T.

If you know your ring size, please include it when ordering. If you are unsure, measure the internal diameter of an existing ring that fits comfortably, or contact me and I will be happy to advise.

We use a carefully selected mix of quality glass, metal, and wood beads, combined with Japanese seed beads and durable metal findings. Items are strung on strong Fireline thread. As much as possible, we use UK-based suppliers. Hypoallergenic niobium findings are available for an additional £5 per item.

Yes, within the UK. Orders are sent via Royal Mail Tracked 48 (2–3 working days). Faster delivery via Tracked 24 is available for an additional £3. If you need a different postage option, please email us.

Absolutely. WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get). All photographs on the website are of the actual pieces created by Black Agnes. While slight colour variations may occur between screens and devices, every effort is made to ensure photographs accurately represent the finished jewellery. Digital editing such as cropping was done to fit the requirements of the space, but the actual image of the item was not retouched in any way.

All items come with care and maintenance advice. To keep your jewellery looking its best, we recommend occasional wear and avoiding exposure to water, lotions, and perfumes, as these can affect finishes over time.

Black Agnes collections are families of related designs that share a common style, structure, technique, or inspiration. Collections such as Ogalala, Why, Halo and Hex Halo each have their own distinctive character and may develop over time to include bracelets, necklaces, earrings, and future variations while retaining their unique identity. Individual pieces may be made to order in different sizes or colourways. Alongside these collections, Black Agnes also creates one-of-a-kind pieces while exploring new ideas and techniques.
